gabby

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 16, 2026

gabby is a speech-following teleprompter published by Great Ordinary. This policy explains what gabby handles when you use the iPhone and iPad app.

Information gabby handles

Your script on your device

Your teleprompter script is stored locally on your device. gabby does not upload the script to its server or maintain a cloud copy of it.

Microphone audio and transcription

While voice following is active, gabby uses microphone audio to follow your place in the script. Great Ordinary does not keep your script, a recording, or the live transcript, and does not use them for advertising.

Security, usage, and purchase data

gabby processes a pseudonymous app-installation identifier, Apple verification records, random voice-session identifiers, cumulative elapsed seconds, and basic operational logs to verify genuine installations, prevent replay and abuse, enforce the free allowance, measure aggregate product use, and diagnose failures. For subscriptions, gabby processes App Store transaction identifiers, product and status information, purchase and expiration dates, and a pseudonymous app-account token. gabby does not require a gabby account.

How information is used

  • Provide live transcription and voice-following features.
  • Protect the service, enforce usage limits, and diagnose failures.
  • Verify purchases and respond to App Store subscription changes.
  • Measure aggregate feature use and service reliability.

Service providers

gabby uses Apple for app distribution, installation verification, and in-app purchases, and Cloudflare for API hosting and security. Great Ordinary requires these providers to protect the information they process to the same or greater standard described in this policy and required by applicable law. Great Ordinary does not sell personal information or use scripts, audio, or transcripts for advertising.

Retention and control

Your saved script remains on your device until you replace it or delete the app. Cloudflare automatically removes gabby’s operational request logs within no more than seven days. gabby keeps pseudonymous security, elapsed-usage, and subscription records only as reasonably needed to operate, protect, and account for the service or meet legal obligations.

You can stop audio processing at any time by stopping voice following. You can also withdraw microphone permission in iOS Settings and continue using gabby’s manual teleprompter controls. To request deletion of server records controlled by Great Ordinary, email support@gabby.greatordinary.com. Because gabby has no account, support may ask you to copy the Privacy Support Code from Settings before deleting the matching pseudonymous records.

A deletion request may not cover records that Great Ordinary must retain for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. If an exception applies, support will explain what must be retained and why.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account. Apple handles billing and refunds under its policies.

Children

gabby is not directed to children under 13, and Great Ordinary does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes and contact

This policy may change as gabby evolves. Material updates will be posted here with a new date. For privacy questions, email support@gabby.greatordinary.com or visit Great Ordinary.
